Dear J Gan families.

We had great time on Sunday. We learned a lot about Tu B'shevat.
After our morning blessings, we read the story "Happy Birthday Tree".
We talked about what do we get from the trees?? We heard about an avocado tree that provides fruits, holds a swing, and gives shade.
Wow-- all from one tree.
We sang some Tu B'Shevat songs and we had an engaging art project of a blossoming tree.
At the end of our day we went dancing with teacher Dona and some really cool TMT'rs.
It was a lot of fun. (Sorry the pics are a little blurry... We were all dancing...)

On Shabbat 1/23/2016 we will celebrate Tu B'Shevat during the Tot Shabbat service @ 11:00.

On Sunday 1/24/2016 -- there will be a special Mitzvah day event for all religious school students starting at 9:30.

We hope to see everyone.

Dear JGan families,
We had great time learning about Hanukkah. We made "sevivon " from old CD and a clothes pin, decorating it with tape. We heard the story of the Macabees and the miracle of the oil. During our art time we created Chanukya from wooden blocks and bolts. We had time to play and to sing with all the friends of the RS and we even got a yummy treat for the Hanukkah.

Our next meeting will be a Shabbat school, on 12/12/2015.
Please come to our class at 9:30.
We will continue our learning about Hanukkah and celebrate Shabbat at the Tot Shabbat service. Please join us at 11:15.
We will end the day at the Ru'ach rally at 12:15.
See you on Shabbat
Moran Sharon.

Dear J Gan families,

Sunday was a busy day. We started with free play with friends and then had our morning meeting. We talked about the story of creation and heard the story of Adam and Eve. After the break, during our art time we created the garden with the special tree of knowledge and even the snake. We had lots of fun playing "duck duck goose"outside with Samantha (our TMT). We ended the day with a story about "the very quite house" a story about a Jew whose house was small and crowded and he brought some animals in to make it more spacious.... After the animals left the house.

I hope to see you on Sunday. We will have art and dance on 11/8/2015.

Morah Sharon.

Dear parents: My name is Sharon and I am so happy to be your JGan child teacher @CBD

We had a very good first day at our JGan class. The children got to play together and work on apple Sukkah decoration.
Later we had to clean the little yard from pine needles, and Aaron was very helpful using the broom. After cleaning we all got outside to have snack in the sun.
Toward the end of the day Rabbi Ohriner came to visit us and we had a conversation about “What does the Rabbi do in shul?”

After songs and stories we went to the art class to make some more Sukkah decorations in the shape of Lulav and Etrog.
We ended the day dancing at the social hall with Morah Rachel.

**October 5th is a Sukkah decoration day all are invited. We’ll see you again in JGan on October 12th at 9:30.
